How We Extended Trelish’s Brand Identity & Developed Their E-commerce Website

Our team’s an enthusiastic bunch of chai and coffee lovers. One day, we found out about this Pune-based brand called Trelish that sold pre-brewed liquid coffee decoctions. The product practically eliminated all need for complicated brewing gear or time-consuming processes. We got in touch with them for marketing, but life had bigger plans. 😉

Team Trelish invited us to pitch for

  1. Extending their current & existing branding to cover areas such as communication guidelines, extension across mediums, and more.
  2. Designing and developing an attractive, user-friendly, search-engine optimized, and quick ecommerce website to make online purchasing a breeze for consumers. As an e-commerce website development agency, we’re fairly bullish & confident about Shopify as a platform, and so we recommended that as choice of platform.

Having spent more than a year handling the entire marketing mandate for Bombay Island, we pitched for this project and bagged the opportunity to work alongside the wonderful co-founders of Trelish, Kavita Narayanan & Aditi Surange.

Phase 1: Extending the Brand

Post an extensive briefing with the founders of Trelish, we felt more confident & aligned with what the brand stood for, its personality, the values it upheld, and the kind of visuals it ought to have.

Basis the same, we built out extensive visual & communication guidelines for Trelish, complete with examples, reference imagery, and mock-ups for better illustration. These guidelines are available below for previewing.

Phase 2: Building Trelish’s Ecommerce Website

Once the guidelines had been established, we moved ahead with planning, designing, and developing the Trelish website. As requested, an important functionality we had to include was Subscriptions. Primarily intended for loyal customers who’d like to prepay for their coffees and then relax while it’d arrive at their doorstep at a designated frequency, plus value-conscious customers who could be nurtured towards increased LTV by buying a subscription.

Plus, Subscriptions were implemented through India’s leading Subscriptions app for Shopify, Recurpay. Through our strategic partnership with them as a preferred Shopify Website Development Agency partner, we got relevant customisations done to deliver the kind of functionalities Trelish needed.
